How to read this
- This predicts from the paces you enter, so the result is only as realistic as your inputs. Use paces you can actually hold on race day, not personal bests.
- Most people run slower off the bike than they do fresh. If you are unsure, add 20 to 40 seconds per km to your standalone run pace for the estimate.
- Transitions count towards your official time. The defaults here are typical, but they vary with your setup, the size of the transition area, and whether it is a wetsuit swim.
- Bike speed is the biggest single lever on your finish time, particularly at longer distances, because you spend the most time on it.
- This is a prediction, not a pacing plan. Going out too hard on the bike is the most common way to lose more time on the run than you gained.
